Playing Games with Friends During Quarantine Using Zoom

I've been hosting games with my Bunco gals and my theater friends using Zoom and online games purchased from JackBox ($5 and up). We've played Fibbage and Drawful 2 so far and love it! We usually play for about an hour (2 games of each) and call it a night.
If you haven't used Zoom, it's pretty easy to figure out, but you can always find tutorials on YouTube.

How to Host in Zoom using Jackbox games:
  1. Create a meeting and give the link to your friends
  2. Run the game on your computer and "share" your screen. This is your "game board"
  3. Everyone should have their phones ready-this is your "game controller"
  4. Type in the code from Jackbox on your phone
  5. Play the game, they are not hard to figure out

Notes:
  • If your game freezes or you get kicked out, just log back in with the code
  • You can hook up your computer to your TV with an HDMI cord if you want a bigger screen
  • If you minimize Zoom, you will still get a small box in the upper right corner as you play your game so you can still see people (no matter what, you will be able to hear everyone)

How to Address an Envelope

Some young people don't know how to address an envelope. Team 21 shows you how to have your children address one correctly so they can write to friends and family during this time of social distancing.

No matter how many times I modeled it (using my teacher skills here), my boys got it wrong several times. So we decided to take all their mistakes and turn it into a learning lesson. They had a lot of fun filming with me and we hope it helps your family do it right the first time!

PE games to play at home with your kids

PE Games to play at home with your kids! This one is called Gotcha! It focuses on dribbling skills and hand-eye coordination for younger children and more advanced dribbling skills for older children. Set the timer for 2 minutes and play! Try to play 3 rounds before you stop to get a good cardio and dribbling workout. If you don't have basketballs, any large bouncing ball will do. Brought to you by Team 21.

My two favorite PE and activity game books are:
The Physical Educator's Big Book by Guy Bailey
Physed Games Top 99 by Brian Gadient
